New Location! Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day- October 3

We’re changing our event…  Saturday is going to be a complete washout, so we decided to make history and be the first IMBA chapter to hold #TKMBD at an indoor bike Park!  Our friends at The Wheel Mill have partnered with us to make sure TKMBD goes off despite the rain!  We’ll meet at 1:00PM at the park, have a brief skills clinic, participate in group rides, and have a few competitions for anybody interested.  Afterwards, we’ll have snacks, pizza, drinks, and other giveaways.

Kids and parents watching will get FREE admission to the park from 1PM-3PM.  Parents can also ride with their little shredders for the normal weekend admission rate.

Everybody at the park needs to have a waiver.  If you are bringing non-custodial children as guests, their legal guardians must sign the Wheel Mill waiver.  They have them available for download:

IMBA’s Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day strives to encourage communities in the U.S.A. and around the world to join together and ride mountain bikes with kids. Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (TKMBD) events range in size from a few kids and families to several hundred gathering at a local park or trailhead. IMBA clubs and chapters, retail shops, Trips for Kids, schools, scouts and community groups are encouraged to host events. Last year over 15,000 kids and family members participated in 150+ community events in the U.S. Several events were registered in other countries including: Italy, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Malaysia, and Mexico. You, your family or your company are encouraged to join the fun and participate in IMBA’s 12th anniversary of Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day.
