Frick Park

Known as Pittsburgh’s woodland park for its extensive trails throughout steep valleys and wooded slopes, Frick Park is an ideal escape from the noise of the city. The multi-use trails are well marked, with several access points servings as entrances. Double track and single-track trails abound, welcoming walkers, hikers, and mountain bikers alike.

There are several parking areas: near the tennis courts on South Braddock Ave, at the top of Beechwood Blvd (near Blue Slide Park), and next to the soccer fields  near Nine Mile Run. An off-leash dog park is located behind Blue Slide Park, with another off-leash area (Hot Dog Dam) at the bottom of the park.

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh, opened the new Frick Environmental Center to the public in September 2016.
